Geschichte der Rasse
In 1930 a small brown cat named Wong Mau was brought from Burma to San Francisco by Joseph Thompson. Bred to Siamese and studied carefully, she founded the breed — the first cat whose ancestry was worked out by scientific study rather than guesswork.
