Bilmekte fayda var
- Made by crossing Persians with Siamese to move the point pattern onto a longhaired cat.
- Some registries treat it as a colour division of the Persian rather than a breed.
- Points darken with age and in cooler rooms.
Kime uygun
Calm, indoor homes with time for daily grooming.
Bakım
Comb every day without fail, and clean the eyes daily. The flat face needs watching for breathing trouble.
Irkın tarihi
Crossing Persians with Siamese to move the point pattern onto a longhaired cat began as a genetics experiment in the 1930s at Harvard. Breeders on both sides of the Atlantic took it up after the war, and the cats were recognised in the 1950s.
