Bilmekte fayda var
- Began with one curly kitten in a Montana shelter litter in 1987.
- Unlike other rex breeds, the curl is dominant, so one curly parent is enough.
- Curls loosen and tighten as the cat matures, sometimes almost vanishing at eight months.
Kime uygun
Owners who want a patient, cuddly cat and do not mind a coat that needs thought.
Bakım
Comb gently and rarely; brushing straightens the curl. Bathe occasionally and let the coat dry naturally.
Irkın tarihi
A curly kitten born in a Montana animal shelter in 1987 was given to breeder Jeri Newman, who named her Miss DePesto. Bred to a Persian, she passed the curl to three of six kittens, proving the gene dominant — unlike every other rex before it.
