小知识
- The whole breed traces back to one kitten born in upstate New York in 1966.
- Even the whiskers are crimped.
- One of the rarest breeds in North America.
适合人群
People who like an easy, playful cat and want a coat nobody else on the street has.
日常护理
Do not over-brush: handling breaks the crimp. A gentle stroke-through now and then is enough.
品种历史
In 1966 a single wire-coated kitten appeared in a farm litter in Verona, New York. A breeder bought him for fifty dollars, and the whole breed descends from that one cat. It remains one of the rarest breeds anywhere.
