معلومات مفيدة
- Descends from free-roaming desert cats, not from a planned breeding programme.
- Large ears help it lose heat — an adaptation to desert living.
- Recognised as a breed only recently, mostly in the Gulf states and Europe.
لمن تناسب
Active owners who want a hardy, alert cat and can give it space and play.
العناية
Very little grooming. Keep fresh water always available and provide shade in hot rooms.
تاريخ السلالة
Street cats of the Arabian Peninsula, shaped by desert heat rather than by breeders. A veterinarian in Dubai began documenting them in the early 2000s, and the breed was recognised in Europe in 2008 — one of the few breeds drawn straight from a free-living population.
