معلومات مفيدة
- Created by crossing Persians with American Shorthairs.
- Longhaired kittens still appear in litters and are registered as Persians in some clubs.
- Slightly more playful than the Persian, with the same calm base.
لمن تناسب
People who love the Persian look but cannot commit to daily combing.
العناية
Brush twice a week and wipe the eyes daily — the flat face makes tears run down the muzzle.
تاريخ السلالة
American Shorthair breeders in the 1950s crossed to Persians hoping to improve their cats' coats. The results looked wrong for either standard, so in 1966 they were recognised as a breed of their own — a Persian without the daily grooming.
