معلومات مفيدة
- Comes from a natural mutation found in feral cats in the United States in 2010.
- Cats moult their coat periodically and may go almost bald before it regrows.
- The patchy coat is a coat structure, not a disease, and healthy Lykoi are fully sound.
لمن تناسب
Owners who want something strikingly different and do not mind explaining it to visitors.
العناية
Bathe occasionally to manage skin oils and keep the cat warm and out of strong sun.
تاريخ السلالة
Two unrelated litters of partly haired feral kittens appeared in Virginia and Tennessee in 2010. Veterinary tests ruled out disease, and DNA showed a natural recessive mutation. Patti Thomas and the Gobbles began breeding from them the same year.
