Geschichte der Rasse
In 1959 a curly-coated kitten called Kirlee was born near a disused tin mine in Devon. Breeders assumed he carried the Cornish Rex gene, but crossing the two produced only straight-coated kittens — proof that a second, separate rex mutation had appeared.
