Bon à savoir
- Arose as a natural longhaired variant in Siamese litters.
- Has no thick undercoat, so the coat lies flat and mats far less than it looks like it would.
- As vocal and as attached to its people as the Siamese.
À qui convient-elle ?
Owners who want a Siamese personality with a softer look and can give it constant company.
Entretien
Comb twice a week. Do not leave it alone all day — this is a cat that needs someone about.
Histoire de la race
Longhaired kittens appeared in Siamese litters for decades and were quietly given away as pets. In the 1950s American breeders decided to breed them deliberately, naming them after Balinese dancers for the way they move.
