Chatons : 0
Bon à savoir
- Created by crossing Siamese with red domestic shorthairs, then breeding back to Siamese.
- Registries disagree: some treat it as a Siamese, others as a breed of its own.
- Sixteen point colours are recognised.
À qui convient-elle ?
People who want the Siamese character and a colour outside the classic four points.
Entretien
Minimal grooming. Expect a loud, opinionated cat that does not do well left alone.
Histoire de la race
American breeders in the 1940s and 50s crossed Siamese with red domestic shorthairs to get point colours the Siamese standard did not allow. Siamese purists objected, which is why the cats were registered under a separate name in 1964.
