Bon à savoir
- Most cats in the world are of no particular breed.
- A wide gene pool means fewer inherited conditions than in many pedigrees.
- Coat, size and temper vary from one kitten to the next, even in a single litter.
À qui convient-elle ?
Anyone. Meeting the actual kitten matters more here than reading about the type.
Entretien
Brush according to coat length. Ordinary vaccinations, neutering and dental care are all most need.
Histoire de la race
Cats attached themselves to human grain stores in the Near East some ten thousand years ago and have lived alongside us since, largely breeding as they pleased. Almost every pedigree breed alive was drawn from this population within the last two centuries.
