تاريخ السلالة
The founders arrived on ships from Europe — the Mayflower's cargo included cats — and spent three centuries as working farm animals. A tabby male sold for two thousand dollars in 1904 marked the point at which breeders began treating them as a pedigree rather than a mouser.
