Documents You’ll Need
Even within the US, most airlines and several states require paperwork before a kitten can travel. Here’s what’s commonly required:

Health Certificate (CVI)
A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued by a licensed vet, typically within 10 days of travel. Required by most airlines and many states.

Rabies Vaccination Certificate
Proof of a current rabies vaccination for your kitten or cat.

Photo ID
A government-issued ID matching the name on the pet’s travel booking.

Airline / Carrier Pet Travel Form
Carrier-specific authorization for cargo or in-cabin pet travel, filled out before drop-off.
